The medical experts also say 'that for the vast majority they will experience mild flu like symptoms' but unfortunately it is the vast majority that are out there emptying the supermarket shelves at the expense of those who are most vulnerable to the virus and also the least likely to be able to stockpile food etc as they often survive on meagre pensions
It is human nature at it ugliest!!
If the vast majority are likely to be only mildly unwell (not my words) then the vast majority should be doing absolutely everything to help those most likely to be affected - it is comforting to see on facebook and elsewhere that the nicer side of human nature is coming to the fore and putting other more needy people first!
Supermarkets should each choose a morning a week to open only for the elderly and those shopping, picking up prescriptions etc on their behalf
And when it is over then China should be told that if it wants to trade with the world it needs to get it act together and perhaps the rest of us should look at the way we live - it seems almost all virus's are a consequence of humans harvesting and eating animals, Ebola,Sars,Swine flu, and now this latest one etc, I can't imagime anyone believes it will be the last
The 'vast majority' will suffer in other ways and countless number will lose their jobs as business go under, I worry more about the social implications of that if honest
