what do you do about player contracts. Normally they end in June. That means the club can recruit based on what division it is going to be in. If you have a contract term that covers the potential to be in 2 leagues, that creates real financial problems for a club.
And clubs are going to be in enough financial doodoo as it is. I really think a large number of clubs are going to have to default on their payments to players, and go into administration.
If the league picks up after that, there are going to be a lot of clubs, that if they survive, are going to have lost 10 points.
I think DMO is right. Abandoning the season is the sensible route.
