We should stop playing the first half... Archived Message

I was just basking in today's result and the league table when I noticed that County have only been winning 7 out of 39 games at HT. Seems very low for a team in the play-offs (just). To put that into perspective, that's the joint lowest in the league with Eastleigh, Maidenhead and Chorley (hardly good company!). Though by my calculation, we have a net gain of 19 points in the second half of games. The majority of that is because when we go into half time level or better (25 games), we have only lost 5 of those. So 20%. That's seems fairly good, but I'm not enough of a saddo to work it out for every team! Any theories why we generally do much better in the second half? I wouldn't say fitness as we're not FT. Jim tactical tweaks and the old hairdryer? I've linked the table for those who are interested. You have to click on the 'HT/FT' tab of the standings.
