    Broadly agree, although I also thought Bell's overall performance was pretty good in the second half.

    I think their penalty probably was, on reflection. Soft, but a penalty. Our two non-penalties clearly are and there is no excuse for not giving them. The first is so blatant it's ridiculous, as we informed the officials at the time (I'll come to the hopeless liner in a minute), and for the second the defender just doesn't get anything on the ball.

    There were two other decisions not in there that were arguably more minor but which sent me potty. The first was an offside against McAlinden where he timed his run to perfection to get beyond their defenders but was flagged anyway.

    The second was even less important but typifies, I dunno, something. About 5mins from the end Hinchliffe went to claim a ball near the byline, taking a couple of touches and the utterly ineffectual liner in front of us, who was 5-10yards off level with the line, flagged for a corner. This clown, who couldn't see that defender playing basketball in the first half, had suddenly developed eyesight so good he could tell that a ball on the far side of the goal and at an angle had crossed the line. Just unbelievable. Even the ref, who himself was clueless (shirt pulling throughout went unpunished in addition to the highlighted penalty box failures), knew this was a duff call, but as the flag had been waved around he had little choice but to give it. Hence why he blew for a non-existent foul in the box the second the corner came in.

    F***ing woeful.
