Archived Message Posted by hippo on 6/3/2020, 9:14 am At the March meeting of the Stockport District Sunday League Chairman Terry Conlon announced that following his meeting with various Councillors the proposed 20% increase that all Clubs were facing will now be limited to a maximum of a 5%. Terry said “it has been a very time consuming process opposing the proposed increase but the outcome was very satisfactory and we now await publication of the ‘Playing Pitch Strategy’ and ‘Local Facilities Football Plan’ to see what the Council and its partners can achieve in attracting capital funding to invest in pitches and facilities. Thank you to everyone who contacted their local Councillors and Members of Parliament to ask for their support in opposing the 20% increase.
