How is this nonsense at Fylde going to continue when if they reach league 2?
SCMP limits spending on player wages to a percentage of club turnover. In League 2 clubs can spend a maximum of 55% of their turnover on wages.
Fylde have poor attendances, averaging 1,600 this season. The Oyston's have gone at Blackpool and they now have credible owners, so many fans that defected to Fylde have now returned.
County's new owners have clear plans to address SCMP, based around investing in conferencing and banquetting, so it generates a decent return throughout the whole week. Staging concerts from 2021 onwards, investing in match day catering / fan zones, to generate more revenue. And we already average 4,300 - with massive potential to develop and grow that amount, which Flyde don't.
Won't Fylde just hit a brick wall when the financial fair play kicks in?
