I disagree. The Trophy win over Chorley was the start of a really good run of form prior to New Year, and the wins over Alty and Truro came in the middle of a 21 game unbeaten run (with 17 wins).
I know you’re referring to later in the season, but immediately after the Maidstone trip (W 3-0 on a Tuesday evening), we beat Spennymoor in that huge game on the Saturday, before winning 1-3 at Boston the Tuesday after to go top.
After the Fylde loss, we won back-to-back home games, drew 2-2 at Hereford thanks to a last minute equaliser to squander the win, and then beat Chester 6-0 the Tuesday after to go back top.
