Happy with a point Archived Message Posted by Stranded Hatter on 22/2/2020, 5:39 pm Nobody in County colours was disappointing for me today even though we still hoofed it a bit much at times. There was less hoofing than other recent games and it very much felt more like a run out of ideas last resort than a first option like it has done sometimes recently. When we did get the ball on the deck and turn their backline we terrified them. Up until their equaliser we were the better team but after that it was even for pretty much the whole game, with both sides having spells of pressure and good chances. They dominated the last 5-10 minutes of the first half and had the best of the last ten minutes of the second, they also had the better outright chances with a couple of dangerous corners where we were saved by wayward heading. But we had chances too and while either side could have snatched it the other would have felt rightly aggrieved if they had. Bell also almost scored a screamer. He struck it so sweetly but it went wide. Would have been a goal of the season contender if it had hit the target. He’s getting closer. Officials were dreadful.
