Problem you aren't recognising is that Jim is a Championship level manager at National League level. Better players will naturally see better results under his high level of coaching.
His man-management has improved over the years too. He's now arguably twice the manager we had when we won at Wembley in 2008.
Some people just have personal agendas against the man though
