We do play other ways. Sometimes we go five at the back and play with wing backs for the width, getting the more advanced wider players more central. This idea that we only play one way is unfounded.
4-2-3-1 is Jim's preferred system and it gets results more often than it doesn't. But it makes me laugh that Jim has been simultaneously criticised for both changing things too much worrying about the opposition and also for being stubborn and sticking to one system.
My take is that sometimes he gets it right and sometimes he gets it wrong. But he gets it right more often than he gets it right and that'll do for me.
