During the period prior to the takeover, there was a lot of questions and speculation about whether a new manager would be brought in. A lot of rumours about Michael Brown being appointed as the next manager.
The Co-op board sought to clarify the situation. Whether we were right or wrong to highlight the manager's position, we do, as an elected board believe Jim Gannon to be the right man for job.
There are comments about consulting members, but time constraints are very tight, the subject of the take over was subject to confidentiality and I am not really this is the type question you would put out to the membership? A view was expressed on behalf of the Co-op board.
Is the Co-op board stating a position that is out of line with the membership or wider fan base?
There was a number of issues the Co-op sought reassurance on, from the future of Edgeley Park, to the status of outstanding debt, to future developments on and off the pitch, etc. I would have thought the fan base would have wanted clarification on as many issues as possible?
