Fantastic day at Goodison. We took Eddie Critchley who played for County, then Everton signed him, in the late 1920s. We were guests of Everton and they looked after us all afternoon. We went into the dressing rooms and met some Everton players and even walked out onto the pitch. I've always had a soft spot for Everton after the way they looked after us, and especially Eddie, he was a hero of theirs, he supplied all the crosses for Dixie Dean, when he scored over 60 goals one season. I've still got the programme and there's a picture of me and Eddie in there. Memories, and the game wasn't bad either.
