It's highlighting the sh1t state of transport in the UK and how it hasn't changed for the better or cheaper. Why are train fares so bloody expensive when the service is so poor. on 9 occasions this season we have had our journeys affected by delays and cancellations and it would be more if we had not driven to a load more as well. If we want to get an open return from Sandbach to Stockport it costs us £22.40. A return to Manchester is £18.80. The whole fare structure is bollocks. I can get to Glasgow for less than Blackpool. I prefer to drive but we want a drink so that means staying over or getting a train. It's frustrating. |
