What Jim said in his last interview was that at the start of the season, he has charged by the owners to consolidate in the NL this season and was given the budget to do so.
The fact that he has over-achieved and we have 45 points after 30 games is credit to Jim and the team but the fact is that the current owners have made it clear that they don't have the resources or the inclination to fund us for a push into the FL.
Hence the new investment by the bloke from Poynton, which we are told by the major shareholder, is imminent.
If that is the case, there is plenty of time left in January for Jim to strengthen the team and hopefully get us into the playoffs.
