I've had one bit of personal grief based on a falsehood and another clearly implying I'm trying to stop someone having an opinion, in direct opposition to the words that were in front of them (the latter of which got a LOL and nod of support from the person I was debating with and who carried on debating with, which was magnificent). Both on here and both in the last 48hours.
Personally I'm not too bothered but it's unhelpful in the wider context. In those cases I gave the posters the chance to back up their offerings and they both didn't. That's good enough for me. It's an admission by omission as far as I'm concerned. If others don't agree with that conclusion, so be it.
Anyone who thinks this is BS on my part is welcome to check and also to recognise that I have long defended the rights of people to post stuff on here that goes way beyond just being a Tory, however appalling I find their views and I have done since well over a decade before Brexit.
