Sam, I think Corbyn will be proven to be on the right side of history on a number of issues. He fought against apartheid, oppossed the war in Iraq, etc. I agree he is a decent person.
However, it became evident after his election defeat in 2017, that he couldn't win. The parliamentary Labour party tried everything they could to remove him, but he fought tooth and nail - and won a second leadership election.
I know Tony Blair isn't popular amongst Labour members, but he won elections - 3 in total. Labour have now lost 4!
Corbyn wants to stay on for a bit to ensure his legacy. Continuity with a hard left candidate like Rebecca Long Bailey. I'm sorry but this needs to be rejected - and Labour needs a candidate that can win!
