Labour members need to learn from this, because if they elect another hard left candidate, they will lose a fifth election.

What I would say in response to your post further down is that Iíd still happily Ďowní voting for Corbyn, as after nine years of Tory misery, you canít blame people for believing in someone who, to my mind, is a decent man with genuine policies for making peopleís lives better.
Sadly, itís clear that we live in a country where a majority of people would rather just look out for themselves (I donít mean traditional Labour/centrists who couldnít bring themselves to vote for Corbyn), so a more central candidate is clearly the only way to go from here.
I still think the mainstream media will slaughter whoever it is either way, though.
