I agree. That all goes without saying, but there is no getting away from the fact this isnít just an election defeat for Labour. Corbyn going isnít the end point, or the solution, but it has to be the start.
A defeat of this scale is unmitigated disaster, not just for Labour but for the country. If that exit poll is correct, Labour will have their worst result in almost a century.
Theyíve lost four successive general elections and theyíre still going backwards. At a time when kids are being treated in hospital floors because the country is so broken. So to have lost so heavily at a time when it should have been prime for a massive victory has to bring questions for the what heíll Labour are going to do next.
Labour will inevitably blame the media, blame Brexit, blame the direction of travel across the West, and they are all factors, but you donít lose an election this badly without getting it seriously wrong yourselves.
