The DUP gets things wrong most of the time. That's their default position.
Collectively NI voted to Remain. The DUP took the money and have tried to do everything in their power to ensure the UK leaves. That's their right, of course. But as well as highlighting the hypocrisy of British leavers who talk about respecting democracy whilst relying on a party so obviously ignoring the wishes of the Province, it shows they've neither the balls nor the brains for the job they've got. If they had either they'd have been making the point even to the ardent unionists that the Brexit deals on the table (or no deal at all) are much more likely to result in the 6 counties going back to Ireland and in the government of this country freely letting them go into the bargain.
Too much spent time looking backwards has left them unable to look forwards.
I'd care less if I didn't think this is likely to result in NI going backwards on the peace front and that's bad news for everyone.
