The better (football-wise) clubs always look like they get better draws, because other teams are less good in comparison.
Look at City's draw today. In relative terms it's easy (in theory). 10-15years ago everyone would have been looking at that and expecting them to get embarrassed.
And you're right, before last night most people would have said Chelsea away was one of the toughest draws available (City/Liverpool away being the only tougher draws).
Other people whining about the whole thing being a fix seem to have ignored the fact this latest round had to knock out two of the 'big' clubs after the draw was made. It's a cup draw. All sorts of things happen - some which are more likely than others, but none of which are impossible. I think some people need to go back to thinking about what they were taught about probability at school.
