    Jamie Stott has played for Oldham in League One and Two.

    He was pretty much faultless last season.

    We don’t need a National League Van Dyk, we need a solid, reliable player who will anchor our defence alongside Palmer.

    Need to be realistic about who we can sign. Stott is a league player, with a proven track record at County.

    The left back from Buxton would be more of a gamble, as it’s a big step up, but he’s only 21 and is viewed as a very good prospect with interest from League clubs. Might work, might not. You never know until you try. He’s definitely a Gannon profile player.
