Salaries have been increased. Compensation paid to certain players to ensure they can commit to County properly (particularly Friday, if we need to travel).
Whether the overall budget is sufficient to allow us to be competitive in this league, I don't know. I understand that Jim hasn't spent all his budget and there is scope to bring players in.
The concern Jim has is that the players he wants are demanding £1,000+ a week and he doesn't feel they represent good value + they will damage our wage structure.
The loan market is viewed as best value, but for me, it's very frustrating to see a loan player still playing for his original club and getting injured. Surely if we get loanees, they need to be 100% committed to County, whilst they are here?
