Politicians deserve some of the blame, but we probably disagree on which ones - presumably cocking a deaf ear refers to the Liberals, Labour and the Tories? Well that's exactly what the main parties should do. They are not the natural political home of the far right, and shouldn't seek support from it. The politicians who are their natural allies were the ones who have done the most to pump poison into the ether over the years, what we're seeing now with these terrorist plots is some of it catching alight. Ignoring negatives of mass social change? Yes agreed. Echoes the beliefs of Anders Behring Breivik, and I'd be surprised if some of the foiled plots here did not have similarities to that one. Where I'm dubious is that a person asks a reasonable question and becomes a terrorist because they have nazi scum screamed at them. The reasonable person'd want to prove them wrong, not right, I feel? The normal response would be, IMHO, to put it down to an altercation with a nutter and take their question somewhere a bit more high-brow (I'm assuming here that it was the bloody twitterazi). I can probably be convinced that the seeds were sown many years ago, but if so, what is the catalyst for the recent spike? And why now?
