It was a mixture of loyalty and a fear that there wasn't long left. It still cuts deep how absolutely abysmal we were.
We were rotten to the core and yes it's a huge task to stop the rot, but we couldn't even compete at the conference north level.
It feels an age away now we have come through that period, but we are years away from really 'being back' and are still having to work on a shoestring budget.
Thank god for Jim Gannon as I genuinely don't see another manager able to 'get it' and get us to where we are now.
