No matter which way it go's (& I don't think it will go at all but time will tell) moving to Spain was the best thing I've ever done in my life. I've now got residency status, a Spanish drivers licence, a health care card in the Andalucian sistema de salud and slowly but surely, I'm getting to grips with the lingo. I know I'll never speak it fluently but good enough to get by, will do me.
I do miss County. Of course I do. But them aside, there's not a single thing I'd swap and wild horses could never drag me back to the UK permanently. If you've even half a chance in your life of going to live in another country, take it.
Bon Voyage and Buena Suerte Biggles. Give me a shout when you've settled in a bit. We'll go for a pint or 3. I'll bet you a tenner you don't go back to England to live after you've been here for your 12 months.
