It was a fantastic idea (albeit arguably) when the idea was the snatch all the benefits we had as being part of the EU and ditch the shit bits during the "easiest deal ever negotiated".
Sadly it's turned pretty much into a shit idea really. Even the Brexiteers appear to admit that it'll spell economic trouble for a while.
They're now saying free movement will cease (and that will apply for us as well as "them". Wait until people can't go freely where they want within Europe before the implications of that have truly sunken in.
It's very likely to lead to the dissolution of the Union. Really it is.
For what benefit? So farmers can flog their lamb to Uganda as well as France?
There's does come a point in any idea where you have to sit back and just say "sorry guys...it can't work so we're scrapping it. We know it will piss a lot of people off. But such is life. Sometimes you really can't have what you really want".
Just my opinion. I'm a remainer. When the vote went for Brexit I was happy to let it transpire. It's become a catastrophe for this country and it really now needs burying. Unless someone can explain to me how it's now going to happen without any of the stuff above coming to the fore of course.
