Happy with the point overall. Plenty to be positive about but there is clear room for improvement.
Yeovil deserved their lead at half time. We couldn't string a move together in the first 25, and were out of position too often. We had a couple of clear-cut chances towards the end of the first, which we should have taken. Notably Mulhern's miss right before half-time, looked easier to score from the far end. We wasted several free-kicks in good areas which was frustrating, not sure if the wind played a part.
Defensively thought we were reasonably solid. Thought Keane was superb, as well as Cowan and Palmer. Jackson was a little shaky in the first half, but improved in the second, offering decent support going forward.
Walker looked pretty fatigued and lost possession several times, but two tough away trips in 5 days can explain that. Turnbull worked hard as per but too often loses possession with his floaty passes - great when they come off mind.
Osbourne was ace and my MOM. He's going to have a great season. He looks really fit, and has bulked out massively. Won plenty of free-kicks in decent areas, set-up the goal, and got us up the pitch. Minihan worked tirelessly again, and has definitely made the step-up. Thomas and Kirby worked hard when they came on, and well played to Thomas for capitalising on a defensive mixup. Thought Dimaio was fantastic when he came on, and should have scored a couple of times himself. His fresh legs and creativity caused problems immediately - v impressed.
Can't knock Mulhern and Bell's efforts, chased everything against a good defence. Mulhern had a few decent chances that he squandered. Looks a little low on confidence, just needs to get off the mark and he'll be fine.
Defensively I think we're sorted, I'm just a little worried about where the goals are going to come from. Bell & Mulhern will get 10+ each this season, but without a replacement for Warby's goals, I think that'll prevent us from challenging in the top half.
We'll be okay overall this season, but we definitely need an addition or two. With Daz out for a few months, we lack any real pace, but hopefully this is addressed in the next couple of weeks.
I'll take a point at Notts & Yeovil, the least we deserved in both. Roll on our first win Tuesday
