That is fabulous news. Hats-off(!) to the council, creatives, entrepreneurs and benevolent millionaires of Stockport for making a real go of bucking the almost inevitable trend of the demise of town centres. The more I see and hear the more I think they are going to succeed, which would be an almost unique achievement. Well done County for joining in. As I was walking past the Bear Pit last Friday night I wondered what you could do with it but I couldn’t come up with a single idea so I am happy that it is mentioned as a target for improvement. This news has made my (very early start to the) day. 👏
