It's 60years watching County for me this year, after a visit to my school by the one and only Jimmy Meadows. He came to watch an inter house football match, I was in goal. I must stress, he hadn't come to watch me. In fact I think he said to me "do you play any other sport? " I wasn't that bad!
Anyway, Jimmy asked who did I support, I said I went to City and Dungers alternate weeks, as a lot of people did those days. To which he said come and watch County, give us a try. And I did, County won the league that year, and I thought I must be the lucky charm. Obviously not, but glad Jimmy suggested I went.
