For supporters of County, Bradford, Bolton and Stevenage, the dream of visiting exotic locations such as Burnley and Wolverhampton in the second tier next season is still alive. But for 20 of the 24 League One clubs, the 2025-26 season came to an end on Saturday afternoon. Two are off to the Championship, four are contemplating life in League Two, with the other fourteen remaining exactly where they are, preparing to welcome the likes of Leicester and Bromley to town. We’ll have to wait a week or two to put pen to paper on the play-off quartet, but we can certainly get cracking with the other 20 as our great big review of the 2025-26 season kicks off today. First up, AFC Wimbledon, who secured a second consecutive season in League One with a 90th minute winner at Wigan on the penultimate weekend of the campaign. Our regular Womble Ray Armfield joins us this afternoon.
