Tiviot Dale station is behind the photographer who is standing where the M60 is now. For reference, just off to the bottom right is where Howard Street still bends round and in the distance on the other side of the tracks is now where the Porsche garage is.

The diesel loco is a class 45 and the steamer is a Stanier Black 5, coming in from Woodley end. 1965-66.
