It used to be a common occurance for English players to go and have a spell in the US during the 70s / early 80s. Ken Fogarty, Alan Thompson, Mike Czuczman, Stuart Lee and Terry Park (along with George Best and Asa Hartford) were probably the biggest County names to have a go. No doubt others with longer memories than me could name some more.
