We won 3-2, after being 3-0 up at half time as we fielded a strong team first half with Diamond, Connolly, Mee, Mingi, Bailey and Cosgrove all starting. Changed a lot round in the second half and Middlesbrough played better.

Our first was a tap in from one of the youngsters after Connolly seemed to have a clear header from a corner which he somehow headed downwards on to his knee, but it broke kindly for us. Diamond ran the show and scored the second. Cosgrove got the third.

Second half Connolly and Cosgrove went off, and Bailey and Mee were subbed not long into the 2nd 45. Only Mingi and Diamond lasted the full 45 from our first team squad. Mingi dislocated a couple of fingers late on.

The worst news was one of the centre half trialists looks like he broke his ankle in a tough 50-50 challenge. He was screaming in agony for about a minute on the pitch and was on oxygen in the dug out at the end (presumably waiting for an ambulance). I hope the club helps him out with his rehab.
