They’ll know how long he’s likely to be out pretty quickly. If it’s likely to be beyond January, there’s no point recalling because there’s a chance we wouldn’t take him back with injury due to insurance etc. don’t know exactly how it works but it’s a possibility we couldn’t take him back while injured
