There are 2 (related but different) questions, both of which might be answered: 1. Tippy-Tappy play out from the back (starting with the keeper) OR an alternative tactic?, and 2. Ben OR Corey?. Plenty of opinions expressed about Tippy-Tappy - I thought Tippy-Tappy was quite effective at times for both teams on Friday but also ineffective at other times (eg. Ben’s misjudged moment of panic and P’boro turnovers when pressed hard by Woots + Collar). However, few opinions or suggestions or evidence is offered on here to support an alternative tactic to Tippy-Tappy. Hoofing it up the pitch may be the only option if Tippy-Tappy isn’t on, but was it effective on Friday? I’m not sure there was much evidence to say it was a more effective tactic. Is there a better alternative tactic to Tippy-Tappy? Not sure there is. I don’t think we can answer Ben OR Corey? until we first answer Tippy-Tappy OR Hoofball OR a mixture of both OR some other more effective tactic for playing the ball from the back. Keeper usually starts the process - did be pick best tactic? Did he execute tactic well? Did he consistently get it right/wrong?
