I did a bit of a survey over 3 weekends a few weeks back based on match of the day, average was 4 faffing mistakes leading to goals in each show, when you consider that motd usually only has half the prem matches on a Saturday night it is high
Scientifically the more passes you use to get from a to b the more chance that one of them will go astray, no matter how good the players are, i fully understand that the idea is to pull the opposition players out of position etc, but they have already learnt how to counter it. Obviously if you do have far better players then the risk is lowered but those teams would probably win a game anyway
