The game is the highlight of a series of events organised by the prominent Sunday League club to mark their special milestone.
Last month Carny travelled to Belfast for a special fixture against the reserve side of Irish Championship club, Bangor FC, and returned home with a memorable 2-1 victory.
They have now carried the Stockport flag to 16 different countries, playing 48 games on tour. Remarkably, they have played eight clubs who have won the European Cup!
Sunday’s game won’t be the first Carny-County game. Back in 1989, the Hatters found themselves 1-0 down at half time, before Danny Bergara’s team hit back after the break to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Gary Brabin and Tony Caldwell.
That pre-season game, played at Cheadle Town, attracted an attendance of more than 400, and Carny are hoping County fans can again turn up in their numbers on Sunday.
Kick-off time is 2pm, with the bar opening an hour earlier. The on-ground kitchen will also be serving hot and cold food.
The Nomads’ ground is situated on Norbreck Avenue, SK8 2ET.
