I think smaller clubs can still grow, even if they are limited to a percentage of turnover. It would just take them longer. County have increased turnover every year for the last 10 years or so. Even without Mark Stott's investment.
According to Deloitte, in 2020/21, Championship Clubs were spending 126% of their revenue on wages. Its completely unsustainable.
