The Nike of this world just as you and I Iím sure would not expect a city in the UK such as Leicester to allow such a practice to occur on the scale it has !
Itís a worldwide problem but itís rife across the UK and local politicians knew it, which I find disgusting and unforgiveable!
As many as 10,000 people could be working in conditions commonly associated with modern slavery in textile factories in Leicester alone!
Leicester City Council believes there to be about 1,500 textile factories across the city. Most are small businesses, essentially workshops that are housed in ageing, dilapidated buildings, such as the cityís old Imperial Typewriter factory.
