Talking of bonus's matty just reading Harry Redknapp's autobiography and he tells a tale about signing Jemain Defoe for Portsmouth. Apparently his mum was doing the negotiation and all was going well until Peter Storrie (CEO) dashed out of the room to get Redknapp who was having a cup of tea outside to tell him the negotiations were going pear-shaped because Mrs Defoe was insisting on a goal bonus.
At which point HR went into the room to sort it out......Mrs Defoe, he said, Jermain is costing us £12Million and he will be earning £50,000 per week, what do you think we're paying him for ? To effin' miss em?
'I thought it would encourage him to score' she said, We were rather hoping that the fifty grand a week would do that', he replied.............made me laugh

PS he didn't get a goal bonus !
