UT2 is, other than my home, my favourite place on Earth.
The facade on the Moan Stand is a thing of real beauty and it brings to life the pride felt when a working class community comes together to make something of substance, of meaning. It's proper.
The ground is falling to bits, it will cost a tremendous amount of money to redevelop, it would undoubtedly be cheaper to build a new ground, and finance it in part by building houses on the current site, whilst taking advantage of a cheap plot from a supportive council.
Any new owner faces a difficult decision, one they will be heavily criticised for whichever way they went.
On balance I'd rather stay at EP and be crap; than move to an IKEA flatpack in the middle of nowhere and be average.
