There might be reasons for that, just as there might be plenty of other reasons why some people left and didn't prosper.
But if you only listen to those for whom JG's approach worked then you're only getting part of the story. And this is my point.
My question to you would be why do you think reports of his behaviour in this regard are much less prevalent than they used to be? As the personnel keep changing, as is natural at football clubs, the constant has remained but the issues appear to have reduced. That suggests to me the constant has changed...
