I don't get the clamour for people wanting to draw a team like Portsmouth or Sunderland in the 2nd round of the cup. They'd hammer us in an empty stadium and there'd be zero coverage.

At that point you're one win away from a proper game like United, Arsenal etc, the aim of the game is just to get through. In the first and second round you want to get the easiest possible team and just make sure you're in that third round draw.
