Investment is putting money into the Conferencing and Banquetting facilities to bring them up to scratch, so that corporate clients return and you deliver a return on investment. It is bringing catering back in house and running the facility properly and generating profit for County, not a third party.
Elwood had a clear strategy with investing in players, buy players for £50k to £100k with potential, develop those players with a quality manager and sell on one player a season for decent money, but reinvest some of that money in new talent.
