Thanks, Mozzer. Yes, you are absolutely correct. My feeble attempts at levity were not meant to detract from the overriding importance of getting checked, and getting checked early. I certainly have often been slow to consult doctors, especially if I suspect intrusive procedures on the horizon. Itís a daft fear. Medicine is so good now. For example, the colonoscopy, from my point of view, was a refreshing half hour nap after which I felt pleasantly happy for the rest of the day. No discomfort or pain either during or after.
And the prep the 24 hours before - if youíve had a bad ale or some dodgy chicken, well you know what they entail and those are worse because you donít actually feel bad during the regimen. Itís just a process.
Ordinarily Iím not keen to open up on personal matters on a public message board but Iím not known first-hand by most here anyway, and I think that personal testament, advocacy and information can be more useful than any number of public service announcements. Good luck to all.
