As for Jo Swinson, I agree with you Mozzer that she seems to be right wing economically, she's a social liberal and staunchly pro-EU.
The Lib Dem's are a broad church, particularly on economics, where they accommodate social democrats and orange book liberals like Swinson, Laws, Clegg, Alexander, etc.
That doesn't bother me, as my politics are similar to orange book liberals, but I completely understand and respect their views wouldn't appeal to socialists.
As for Swinson's tactic's regarding Labour, she either deeply dislikes Jeremy Corbyn / Momentum / 70's style socialism and his life long anti-EU views and / or she is strategically positioning her party to take Tory seats.
Around 48 of the top 50 Lib Dem target seats are Conservative, I think there are only 2 Labour targets - Sheffield and Burnley.
Maybe she feels that by attacking Labour and making it clear she won't work with Corbyn, she hopes to win over Tory voters and build her party, with the aim of winning 50 to 60 seats?
Personally, I think she should lay off Labour - and focus on the Tories, but she clearly has a plan and time will tell whether it works or not!
