If the defence of Johnson is 'All politicians lie', then that means we're just giving up on critical facilities and it means we may as well give up entirely, because we're demanding nothing from our politicians whatever their hue. If you've got to a point where Johnson's level of lying is defended then you're giving carte blanche for any of them to say anything.
Johnson was making up stuff about people for personal gain back as an undergraduate. It's not just the occasional bit of opportunism for him. It's his entire way of being. If you're bothered about the personalities involved, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is an absolute howling failure of a human being and not because of his politics.
There is a woman rotting in an Iranian jail, thrown under a bus by his words, for which he refuses to take responsibility. Not even by way of apology. It is an indictment of many things that this action served not to kill his political career at the top level but is now little more than a footnote in his rise to the top of the political tree.
Meanwhile, the deeply pro-Labour/Corbyn media in this country will no doubt continue to gloss over their faults and errors [/sarcasm]
