I was more looking at it from the perspective of what might be helpful to us progressing. I picked Lincoln and Exeter because they seem to me to be clubs that, despite not falling as far as we have, that have picked themselves up from fairly grotty positions and generally made a decent fist of things since doing so. I think that whatever happens next, if we are going to progress we need to do so on a firm base, not on the back of someone's money alone.
It can be a bit chicken and egg - Lincoln appear to have used money from the cup success to help out in that regard, for example, and they were clearly doing other things right before that - so I'm not suggesting you spend one and half million on a training ground and automatically reap the rewards. But it has to help to be in control of the things that make it possible to develop and keep players until you get offers you can't refuse.
