- Increased revenue and new revenue streams
- Rebuilding of youth teams
- Improved on field performance
- EP safe in the councilís hands
- A substantial amount of debt written off
The club is in a much better place than it was and is moving in the right direction. Need to sort out proper training facilities in the borough now and continue to build revenues, whilst not adding on any more debt.
There are still things wrong at the club (catering/failure to deal with misbehaviour of a certain club official/etc) but we are in a much better place now than when McKnight/Fearn/Snape were running the show and running up debt.
How we got into hot water in the first place is up for debate. Some of those prominent in running the club now were told upon coming in that they didnít have to get involved in running the club, just stump up the initial sum and everything would be hunky dory. They only got involved once they were being constantly asked for more because the club had run out of money. You can make a good argument for saying they should have stepped in sooner and in hindsight I would imagine that they would agree with you as it would have saved some of them a lot of cash.
