Jim never realized how good he was. He told me that he felt inside his heart that he was born to sing. He was always looking for a better song and a better way to record it. He went through periods of great frustration, but out of it came something more creative. Being with him just two weeks before his crash, he expressed to me that he was trying to find the next level. Thank you for the kind words. Most all the great performances in the arts come from deep within the heart and soul of the artist. Sing because God gave you the talent, not to please any certain condition. When a person is truly doing what God has called him to do, there is a feeling that the force is coming down thru you, not from you. I hope this has been a help to you. I can only speak to you from my own experience. Jim displayed where his talent came from when he sang--one only has to listen to know this.
